Beat butter and sugar until fluffy, beat in eggs one at a time and stir in caramelized ginger.
Mix flour, baking powder and ginger powder together and stir in. Scoop out heaped teaspoons of the mixture and spread on a baking tray lined with baking paper (leave enough space). Bake in a preheated oven at 160 °C for 20-25 minutes until golden.
Caramelize sugar in a saucepan and stir in cayenne pepper. Decoratively cover the Krampus cookies with the caramel.
Preparation Tip:
Instead of caramel icing, you can use chocolate icing.
