Once a month, the ladies in Turkey receive guests. On this day, or otherwise on special occasions when a guest arrives, before serving tea, kisir is offered.

Put bulgur in baking dish and add tap water by spoonfuls. Cover and let it rest for 150 minutes at room temperature.

Then add the onions to the bulgur and mix thoroughly. Then add the other ingredients underneath and season to taste.

Spread a serving plate with vine leaves and offer the kisir on it. You can serve it ditto in individual portions on red cabbage leaves on the table and offer tomato slices and pickled greens for it.

Tip: Lemons add a fresh touch to dishes. Consciously choose ripe, rich yellow lemons!
