Break the cinnamon sticks into smaller pieces. Heat a pan (without oil) and dry roast all ingredients – except the nutmeg – one by one until they turn slightly brown. Stir repeatedly while doing this. Combine in a bowl, mix in the freshly ground nutmeg and place in an airtight container. Store in a cool place. Only immediately before use, finely crush the desired amount in a mortar.
