First prepare the spaetzle dough. For this, mix all the ingredients into a dough, beat well.
Slice and wash the cabbage. Sauté the finely chopped onion in a little oil until translucent. Add the cabbage and saute, stirring constantly, until it turns a golden brown color. Add salt and pepper.
In the meantime, shave the spaetzle into boiling salted water with a spaetzle slicer. When the spaetzle rise, strain and rinse with cold water.
Add spaetzle to cabbage and fry briefly.

Garnish the Krautspätzle with walnut flour with some chives.
