For the meat pie, peel and finely chop the onion and garlic. Wash and finely chop the parsley. Cut bread roll into cubes and soak in milk, then mash.

Fry onions in butter and mix with minced meat. Add the breadcrumbs, eggs, parsley and garlic and season well with salt and pepper.

Line a round baking dish (or tart springform pan) with puff pastry so that the bottom of the pastry is larger than the dish. Fill with the filling quite high, turn the pastry all around and cover it with a lid of puff pastry, without opening. Brush with egg yolk and bake the meat pie for about 1 hour at 180° C.

The meat pie tastes great with a crisp lettuce salad!
