For the Bohemian Nougat Stangerl, heat the nougat in a water bath until it is viscous. Cream butter with sugar, nougat and cinnamon and beat in egg well.

Sift flour with baking powder and stir in. Chill the dough for 2 hours. Then divide into several portions, form them into rolls and cut into even pieces. Either roll small, rather thicker sticks or thinner ones with pointed ends and bend them into croissants.

Preheat oven to 150° and bake the Stangerln or Kipferln for about 12 minutes. When cooled, either dip the tops in chocolate glaze or coat completely with white chocolate glaze.

Pour the chocolate glaze into a parchment paper cone. Decorate the Bohemian Nougat Stangerl as desired after the white glaze has dried.

Preparation Tip:

You can also dip another glazed corner of the bohemian nougat stangerl in chopped hazelnuts.
