Instructions:

For hare with raisins, gut the hare, wash it properly and cut it into pieces. Heat the butter in a saucepan and fry the meat briefly.

Add the onions and sauté briefly. Season with saffron, pepper and salt.

Deglaze with a little water and steam for about 45 minutes, turning the meat repeatedly. In between, keep adding a little hot water.

When the meat is tender, add the raisins. Continue steaming for another 20 minutes.

Add honey and cinnamon and stir. Allow to cook for another 5 minutes.

In a frying pan without oil, dry roast the almonds.

Arrange the meat pieces on plates, cover with the raisin sauce and sprinkle with the roasted almonds.

Serve the rabbit with raisins with basmati rice!
