A cake recipe for all foodies:

1. knead the flour with a strong pinch of salt, two eggs and the oil into a smooth pliable dough. Shape the dough into a ball and let it rest at room temperature with the lid closed for about half an hour. Peel and clean the carrots and grate them on the raw food grater until medium fine. Peel the onions and chop them very finely. Rinse the thyme, wipe dry and remove the leaves from the stems. Mix the remaining eggs with the cheese and the whipped cream and season with salt and cayenne pepper.

Knead the dough again, then roll it out on a little flour to the size of a 26 cm diameter mold. Brush the pan with oil and line it with the dough, leaving a rim of about 3 cm. Preheat the oven to 200 °C. 5.

Mix the carrots with the onions and thyme, season with salt and cayenne pepper and spread evenly on the pastry base. Pour the egg yolks over the top and sprinkle with the sunflower seeds.

Bake the quiche in the hot oven for about 40 minutes until nicely browned.
