A simple but delicious cake recipe:

Score the washed chestnuts crosswise on the convex side. Bring the milk, salt and vanilla pod to the boil. Add the chestnuts and make on low heat for 40 min.

Remove the skin from the chestnuts while they are as hot as possible. Pass through a sieve or grind finely.

Add sugar, cocoa (1), butter and rum. With cold, wet hands, twist balls, place them in the refrigerator for one night. In a glass swizzle cocoa powder (2) form. Pour in one ball at a time, twisting the glass a few times to form even rounds and coat with cocoa powder.

Bring to the table cold.
