Instructions:

For the cupcakes, prepare the ingredients, bring the butter to room temperature, let the flour trickle through a sieve so that no lumps form in the dough.

Preheat the oven to 185 degrees.For the cupcakes, beat the butter with the sugar with a mixer until nice and fluffy. Beat the eggs and add them one by one well into the batter, add a pinch of salt. Sift the cocoa into the flour so that there are no lumps in the batter. Finally, fold in the flour-cocoa mixture.

Empty the batter into a muffin pan lined with muffin cups. Fill only about 2/3 of the cups.

Bake in the oven for about 12 minutes. Then decorate the cupcakes with a cream (=topping) of your choice. For the “chocolate topping” variant, mix powdered sugar and butter, add the cocoa and mix everything with a little water. Fill into a piping bag and decorate the cupcakes according to your choice.
