Preheat the oven to 180 °C (top-bottom heat). Line a rectangular baking pan with baking paper.
For the dough, slowly melt chocolate with butter over a bain-marie. Stir until smooth and allow to cool slightly.
Beat eggs with sugar and vanilla pulp until foamy. Add chocolate-butter mixture and fold in. Mix almonds with cocoa powder and the spices and stir into the chocolate mixture.
Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake in a hot oven for about 20 minutes. Let cool slightly in the mold.
In the meantime, make a Christmas stencil as desired: To do this, cut-or punch-Christmas motifs and lettering out of cardboard.
Before serving, sprinkle Christmas brownies thickly with powdered sugar – if desired, with the stencil you made. Enjoy warm or cold.
Preparation Tip:
Finish Christmas brownies with whole or chopped nuts for a little more "bite".
