Instructions:

For linzer eyes, crumble flour with butter and add remaining ingredients.

Knead into a smooth dough and chill for 1/2 hour. Roll out thinly and cut out circles. Cut additional hole or three in the center of one half of the cookies.

Place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at approx. 175 °C for approx. 8-12 minutes until light yellow. Allow to cool and spread the cookies without holes with mixed jam.

Place the cookies with holes as a lid on the cookies coated with jam. Sprinkle the finished Linzer eyes with powdered sugar.

Preparation Tip:

These Linzer eyes are prepared without egg.
