Bacon or sausage with 1 liter of water for half an hour to make light. Rinse nettle well, chop finely, add to sausage form with chopped onion and boil well for 15 minutes. Take out the sausage, cook the potatoes in salted water, drain and add to the nettles. Mash the potato and nettle mixture and season to taste with salt and freshly ground pepper.
