For the nut-poppy seed cube, cream the butter, sugar, vanilla sugar and yolks until fluffy. Mix poppy seeds, breadcrumbs and nuts and add to the yolk mixture.

Beat the egg whites until stiff and carefully fold into the dough.

Spread the dough on a greased, floured baking tray and bake at 180°C for approx. 30 minutes.

Divide the cooled mass in the middle and fill with sour jam. Now cut into slices or cubes and cover them with chocolate icing.
