Instructions:

For the potato and asparagus gratin, first steam the potatoes until just tender, cool slightly, peel and cut into slices.

In the meantime, prepare asparagus (ready to cook, e.g. peel, remove woody parts and dirt), trim the cut and cut into 4 cm long pieces. Steam until al dente: white asparagus 15 to 25 min, green asparagus 5 to 10 min.

Preheat oven to 200 °C. Grease baking dish with butter.

Place potato slices and asparagus sections alternately in the form of a brick. Stir cream and milk, season with pepper, nutmeg and salt. Pour the sauce over the gratin and sprinkle with grated mountain cheese.

Bake the potato and asparagus gratin in the heated oven for 20 to 30 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

You can sprinkle the potato and asparagus gratin with freshly chopped herbs at the end.
