Maybe your new favorite bean dish:

Clean cabbage, cut into quarters and remove hard stem. Cut cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Remove peel from carrots and cut into narrow slices. Add both to boiling clear soup and simmer for about 10 min with lid on low heat.

In the meantime, pour beans into a sieve, rinse and drain. Press garlic through a garlic press or chop and add to the clear soup with the beans. Bring to the boil.

Remove the pot from the heat and add the mashed potatoes. Add the whipped cream and season with salt, pepper and paprika. Before serving, sprinkle the dried marjoram leaves over the stew.

It goes well with sausage or the rest of the Schäufele. Both can be made hot in the soup.
