Briefly wash the berries under running water, remove leaves and stems and dry well. Mix them in a glass jar with the Viennese jelling sugar and pour rum over them until the fruits are covered.

Close the jar tightly and store in a cool place until fall. After 4 weeks, gently shake the contents once.
