Quarter the red cabbage and remove the stalk. Using a julienne cutter, finely chop the cabbage and onion.

Heat oil in a saucepan and slowly fry the onion until translucent. Caramelize with sugar and deglaze with vinegar. Add the cabbage and season with salt, pepper and caraway seeds.

Cook the cabbage in the steamer.

Peel the apple and grate it with a coarse grater. Mix it into the red cabbage, season again if necessary and cook for another 3 minutes.

Preparation Tip:

Cook the red cabbage with apple in the steamer at the following setting: Universal cooking, 100 °C, 25 minutes
