Remove the seeds from the red chilli peppers and cut into thin strips, also remove the seeds from the green ones and chop finely.

Wash lemon well with hot water and finely grate the skin, squeeze the juice and set aside. In a saucepan or wok, heat oil not too high and fry the red and green chili peppers. Add sugar, ginger, grated lemon zest and cumin seeds and stir well.

Gently fold in pepper and sliced bananas. Roast lightly for a few minutes. Remove from heat, add yogurt, juice of one lemon and salt and stir well again, making sure that the bananas retain their flavor.

Serve the chutney cooled down. Long grain rice goes well with it.

Tip: Use a normal or light yogurt as needed!
