For the walnut dressing, carefully mix mustard, sugar, salt, pepper and walnut oil. Add vinegar and stir until the sauce becomes thick. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.

Just before using, stir in sage and walnut kernels.

The walnut dressing goes great with hot or cold pasta salads!

Preparation Tip:

Vary the walnut dressing, substituting walnuts and walnut oil for peanut oil and finely chopped peanuts, almond oil and almond kernels, or hazelnut oil and hazelnuts.
