Instructions:

For the wedding cake, separate the eggs. Beat the egg whites to snow. Cream butter, egg yolks and powdered sugar. Add the melted chocolate.

Sift flour with baking powder and stir into the batter alternately with whipped cream. Finally, fold in the snow. Grease and flour a cake pan and pour in the batter.

Bake at 175 degrees for about 50 minutes (needle test). Cut the cooled cake 1 x in half and fill with currant jam. Coat the outside of the cake with currant jam.

Knead the fondant until soft and cover the cake with it and decorate as desired.

Alternatively, you can use other jam for the wedding cake or cover it with ganache.
